Secrets & variables

On this pageSecretsVariables
Secrets and Variables in the Manage sidebar.

Secrets

Secrets hold credentials, such as an API key for Notion. Save a key in your account’s key vault and reuse it across several agents, with different tools and API connectors referring to that key by name.

Each agent uses its own copy of the key, so you can give one agent a different credential when needed. Open Secrets on the Manage page to add a key or use one from your vault. Stored keys are encrypted.

Variables

Variables hold settings your tools need, such as a Notion database ID or a destination channel name. Several tools on the same agent can use the same named variable, so you only need to set it in one place.

Open Variables on the Manage page to add or change them. Variables are stored per agent, so each agent can point its tools at a different database or channel.
