Create an agent

Turn a specific job into an agent, add its information and test it before sharing.

Define the job

Decide who the agent is for, what questions it should answer and which information it needs. “Find upcoming contracts for our construction team” gives it a clearer job than “Help with business”.

Open the creation wizard

Choose the option to create an agent in the app. On the hosted service, creating agents requires a plan that includes building. On-premise uses its own creation wizard and your installation’s configured model.

1. Describe the agent’s purpose and give it a recognisable name.
2. Follow the wizard to add its information and configure the options offered by your edition.
3. Review its instructions and access settings.
4. Finish the wizard, then open a chat to test it.

Test with typical questions

Ask a few questions your intended users would ask, including one the agent should not be able to answer. Check the sources it uses, the format of its answers and whether it explains missing information.

Improve and share

Use Manage to refine the profile, wisdom and data. Check who can use the agent before sending anyone its link.
