Connect messaging apps
Talk to an agent from a supported messaging app and manage those connections.
Hosted feature. This guide applies to the online app. The current on-premise edition does not include this feature.
Choose a messaging app
In the agent’s chat, open the add menu beside the message box and choose the messaging connection option. It can include Telegram, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and WhatsApp. Only configured services are available to connect.
Link your account
- Choose the service you want to use.
- Select Connect and follow the instructions shown for that service.
- Use the supplied connection code in the destination app as instructed.
- Send a short test message to the bot or use the service’s supported command.
Follow the current panel’s instructions: installation and commands differ between messaging services.
Understand the connection
The connection links your messaging identity to the agent. Memories, chat history and usage budget follow the linked account. The connection does not grant access to an agent that your account cannot use.
Disconnect
Return to the connections panel, expand the connected list and disconnect the relevant account. To use the agent from another AI assistant instead, follow Connect through MCP.
