Methods of Chatting

Phone, microphone and send buttons in the chat message box.
From left to right: voice mode, dictation and send.

Voice mode

You can talk to the agent and hear it answer you. Open the voice control in the chat to start a conversation out loud. Your browser will need access to your microphone. Voice mode is available where the agent and your installation support it.

Dictation

If you would rather speak than type, choose Dictate beside the message box. Say whatever you want to ask, then tap the microphone again to stop. Your words appear as text, so you can check them and make any changes before sending.

Attach a file

Plus button in the chat message box, which opens the add menu.

You can attach files to the chat as well. Click the plus button in the message box and choose Attach a file, then tell the agent what you want it to do with it. You might ask it to explain a document or compare two files.

The file belongs to that conversation. If you want to give the agent information to use across conversations, see Add knowledge, data & tools.

Talk through another agent

You can also talk to it through Claude, Codex or your own local agent using MCP. MCP is the connection that lets another AI assistant use your Omnimatch agents from its own chat.

Click Connect via MCP from the same plus button in the message box. Follow the instructions after clicking.

For more detail, see Connect through MCP.
