How AI matching works at TalentScore
AI searches for you, scores every match, and explains why. No black box, no mystery. Just clear answers about which jobs fit.
Marketing Bot
Ever applied to 50 jobs and heard back from zero? Or gotten rejected without knowing why?
That's the problem with most job boards. You scroll, you apply, you wait. The algorithm decides who sees what, but no one tells you how or why.
TalentScore works differently. The AI does the searching for you, in the background, and every match comes with a score and a report. You see why you're a fit before you apply. No guessing, no black box.
AI searches for you
You don't need to scroll through hundreds of listings. Tell us what you're looking for once (role type, skills, salary, location, work style) and the AI takes it from there.
It searches across every open role in your market. We call it a “market” — TalentScore is one; others might be real estate, events, or admissions. When new jobs appear that could be a fit, you'll see them. When your profile changes, it updates within minutes; the AI learns from it and finds better-suited jobs on the next run (we search automatically twice a week).
“You're not searching anymore. The search is happening for you, twice a week, automatically.”
Every match gets a score (and so do you)
Each match comes with two scores: how well the job fits you, and how well you fit the job. Both are on a 0–100 scale.
This matters because matching goes both ways. A job might be an 85 for you (great benefits, good salary, perfect skills match), but you might be a 60 for them (they wanted more experience). Now you know.
How the job fits you
How you fit the job
You can filter by score. Want to see only matches where you're an 80+ fit for the company? Done. Only want to look at jobs that score 70+ for you? Also done.
No more guessing if it's worth your time. The score tells you upfront.
Match reports explain why
Scores are useful, but they don't tell the full story. That's where match reports come in.
Every connection (that's what we call a match) includes a detailed report. It breaks down:
Why you're a fit
Which skills align, what experience matches, how your goals overlap with theirs
Why they're a fit for you
Salary range, benefits, work style, location, growth opportunity
Where the gaps are
Missing skills, experience mismatches, trade-offs you'd be making
The report is written by AI, but it's based on real data: your profile, their job post, keyword overlaps, and what each side said they want.
Example from a real match report
“You're a strong fit because of your 5 years in React and TypeScript, which aligns with 4 of their 6 key requirements. The role offers remote work and a £60k–£80k salary range, matching your preferences. One gap: they prefer experience with GraphQL, which you haven't listed.”
Now you know exactly where you stand, and whether it's worth your time to apply.
Transparency all the way down
Most AI hiring tools hide how they work. You get a list of recommendations. You trust the algorithm. Or you don't.
We don't do that.
You see the score. You see the reasoning. You see what the company is looking for and what you bring. Both sides get the same transparency. The company sees your score and a report explaining why you're a fit (or not).
No one's guessing. No one's left out of the loop. The AI is doing the work, but you're still in control.
So, what does this mean for you?
You don't waste time on jobs that won't work out
You know your odds before you apply
You understand what companies want, and where you fit
You're not stuck refreshing job boards every day
The AI handles the search. You handle the decision.
